Kano State Kwankwasiyya Foreign & Local Postgraduate Scholarship 2023/2024: Study Abroad or Locally
Application are invited from suitably qualified graduates for the Kano State postgraduate foreign and local scholarships for the 2023/2024 Academic Session. This scholarship program is an initiative of H.E. Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, and aims to provide support to exceptional graduates seeking to pursue postgraduate studies in esteemed institutions abroad or within the country.
Recalling the last scholarship offered in 2015 by Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s Administration, which sponsored the third batch of 503 first-class graduates to 14 different countries, this program marks the resumption of the postgraduate foreign and local scholarship after an eight-year hiatus.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an indigene of Kano State.
- Should have graduated with a first-class honours degree or its equivalent from a reputable university/institution.
- Must be medically fit and capable of traveling and studying.
To apply, interested candidates need to fill out the relevant application forms, available free of charge on the Kano State Kwankwasiyya Scholarship Portal. Once completed, the application forms, along with copies of important documents (indigene certificate, medical certificate, birth certificate, Primary School Certificate, WASC/GCE/SSCE certificate, Degree certificate, etc.), should be submitted within two weeks of this advertisement to the secretariat of the screening committee. The submission location is the Old Conference Room, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Cabinet Office, 1 Wudil Road, Kano.
